Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent at our Carlin operations. The successful candidate will assist with maintenance activities for all major process facilities, be responsible for all medium and low voltage equipment, and design and oversee technical aspects of construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, electrical codes, and safe work performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee and improve electrical asset health, safety risk, and regulatory compliance at Goldstrike Autoclave.

Apply hierarchy of risk controls and system safety engineering principles in electrical design and maintenance.

Implement and oversee safe practices for high-risk electrical work (e.g., isolation and switching).

Develop a “One Team, One Mission” mindset, building a positive and constructive culture within the immediate team and across departments within the Autoclave facility.

Develop and maintain technical proficiency within the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) team.

Enhance Equipment Life Management (ELM), including preventive maintenance execution and fit for purpose solutions.

Ensure electrical infrastructure meets or exceeds standards defined by relevant government and internal work standards, providing fit-for-purpose solutions beyond what is defined where appropriate.

Strengthen work management practices, particularly within planning processes, working with the planning team to implement best practice to drive safety, cost and efficiency improvements in key work management metrics.

Manage infrastructure risk related to MCCs, transformers, and VFDs.

Drive future process control improvements to optimize plant safety and production. Facilitate maintenance of PLCs, instrumentation and other process control infrastructure, including management of process control technicians.

Ensure adherence to established operating procedures regarding safety, environmental standards, and project objectives.

Ensure all aspects of mineral processing projects align with Nevada Gold Mines' values and vision.

Qualifications

Formal E&I certification aligned with international standards or best practice jurisdictions.

Strong technical expertise in electrical systems and instrumentation within large-scale industrial plants.

Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams in complex, high-risk processing environments.

Experience with process control systems and instrumentation restoration.

Familiarity with infrastructure components such as MCCs, VFDs, and transformers.

Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in electrical work.

Knowledge of effective work management and planning practices.

Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies.

Strategic mindset to optimize asset performance and production outcomes.

Capacity to lead technical improvement initiatives and mentor team members.

History of responding to operational gaps with sustainable improvements.

Minimum of 3–5 years field experience in electrical and instrumentation.

Proven experience with managing contractors and contract management.

MS Office experience.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

SAP application experience.
