Senior Engineer, Product Development – Entegris, Danbury, CT. The Role

Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Development to join our team. The Entegris Specialty Gas and Etch research, development, and engineering team is looking for an Engineer to help with the development of new products. The primary responsibility of the engineer is to own the process development aspects for the new products along with developing the test methodology to validate and qualify a new design. As a Product Engineer, one is required to establish themselves as a subject matter expert on the products and systems that enable the safe and reliable storage and delivery of hazardous materials. This position is expected to support a diverse global cross functional team. Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategy for scaling up processes from proof of concept to a pilot scale system. Create and execute experimental test plans to characterize the performance and reliability of components in a fluid storage and delivery system. Author and review standard operating procedures, batch records, and process documentation. Innovate to improve technical capabilities for the team. Propose developing new or improving existing products and processes. Support technical leaders in a stage-gate process and be accountable for executing assigned tasks as committed. Understand project management tools such as Gantt charts for efficient execution of tasks. Communicate efficiently with various audiences. Select appropriate media, level of detail, and manner for conveying technical reports, project risks, safety incidents, conflicts, etc. Adhere to policy of zero release of any hazardous materials; wear PPE suitable for handling highly toxic, flammable, and/or corrosive materials as required. What We Seek

BS or MS in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of experience in specialty gas or related industry Proficient with process simulation software Knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mass transfer principles Able to work fully on-site in a lab and office environment Able to lift and move gas cylinders weighing up to 50 lbs Ability to work in SCBA for durations of ~30 minutes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with MS Office or related software Outstanding Candidates Will Have

Experience with handling and purification of hazardous materials Strong analytical skills including experience with GC, FTIR, and RGA Why Work at Entegris?
