Stepping up in the electric power industry? Join DNV for a dynamic and international career at the top of the electric-power-system world! We are looking for a Consultant/R&D Engineer to enhance our Smart Cable Guard team to help our customers monitor their cable grid effectively. What You’ll Do

Advise customers to maximize the benefits of SCG in their grids and provide actionable insights based on SCG results Collaborate with customers to investigate and analyze SCG’s performance in their grids, identifying areas for improvement Travel to customers worldwide for face-to-face meetings and perform on-site inspections Work with SCG’s Engineering and Insights teams to improve existing features and develop new features What We Offer

You can combine a deep theoretical understanding with a pragmatic, practical attitude You possess a curious, investigative attitude towards new technologies and new situations You can work independently and responsibly You possess analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills – be able to investigate and solve problems You understand the technical consequences of a business decision as well as the business consequences of a technical decision 7 to 10 years of experience in electric power systems and/or power grid utility consulting (experience with diagnostics, high‑frequency measurements, or partial discharge measurements is a plus, but not a requirement) Experience with performing measurements You have an M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, sustainable energy technology, or physics You are willing to travel (internationally) on a regular basis Your communication skills are strong, both verbal and written We conduct pre‑employment drug and background screening Immigration‑related employment benefits, for example, visa sponsorship, are not available for this position About You
