About Paramount Prints Paramount Prints, a proud subsidiary of F. Schumacher & Co., isn’t just a workshop—it’s where creativity and craftsmanship meet. We’re an in‑house hand‑screened and digital printing studio that thrives on innovation and experimentation. We oversee every step of the production process firsthand from screen making and file work, to managing raw materials, printing, new product development, and shipping and receiving. This end‑to‑end supervision allows us to maintain an eco‑friendly process while ensuring unparalleled design flexibility and superior quality control. Role Overview We are seeking a bright, capable digital print operator to add to our wallcovering production team. This person’s primary focus will be to oversee the color and quality of print jobs on Large Format HP Latex printers. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, has an upbeat attitude toward problem solving, and is motivated to improve production processes.
You Will
Precisely match production print jobs to company control samples using color matching
Set up files for production runs using company RIP software
Maximize machine efficiency and minimize waste through efficient use of substrates
Regularly perform preventative maintenance on all machinery
Inspect all print jobs to ensure highest quality standards are met
Troubleshoot problems that occur during job submission or the printing process
Monitor color consistency during and at end of print run, making adjustments when necessary
Catch errors at the earliest possible stage
Update job status and location in production software, and report any delays to management
Maintain current and complete knowledge of all equipment and software
Calibrate all color devices as required to maintain color consistency
Load/unload printers for production runs
You Have/Are
A strong understanding of color theory and experience in color management
Ability to match color by eye as well as through digital software
Entrepreneurial spirit: must be willing to own process and contribute ideas
Detail oriented, organized and thorough, in all aspects of process and communication
Understand digital files
Understanding of textile and wallcovering repeats and industry standards
A flexible work style and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline‑driven environment
Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure while staying organized
Collaborative, with the ability to work across multiple creative and functional departments
Ability to work within a team and open to learning from others
Dependable, timely, and trusted to use printing materials and equipment
Required Skills
Wide format digital print experience, latex experience a plus
Experience working with digital files and RIP software
Caldera, AVA, Photoshop, Illustrator, Onyx and color calibrating software a plus
