Salary Base pay range: $90,000 – $98,000 annually.

What You’ll Do In this working manager role, the Materials Supervisor oversees all material handling operations, ensures inventory accuracy, and keeps materials moving smoothly through the facility (receiving, material flow, and shipping). This role provides direct leadership to the first‑shift material handling team while also keeping activities aligned across both shifts. The supervisor works closely with Planning, Procurement, and Operations to support uninterrupted production, maintain material availability, and help achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and supervise all materials staff, including shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards and promote a strong safety‑first culture.

Assign daily workloads and give clear directions to the team; monitor progress across first and second shifts.

Maintain standard work procedures across both shifts to ensure consistency.

Manage daily inventory accuracy tasks, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and system updates (Syteline).

Identify and resolve material shortages and discrepancies through root cause analysis and problem‑solving.

Partner with Planning and Procurement to align material flow with production schedules and prevent shortages.

Oversee 5S and continuous improvement activities in the materials area.

Develop cross‑training plans to build team flexibility and capability.

Perform material handling tasks directly when the team is short‑staffed or requires extra support.

Support company goals for inventory accuracy, scrap reduction, and on‑time delivery.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, materials management, or a related field is preferred.

3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated experience in materials and inventory management.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop teams.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision‑making skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.

Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Syteline preferred).

Strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to implement sustainable solutions.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization).

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple priorities, including logistics and material planning.

Additional Preferences

3+ years’ supervisory experience.

Experience with 5S, Kanban, and lean supply chain practices in operations.

Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality standards.
