Job Summary Leviat is searching for a results-oriented and strategic Business Development Manager to raise awareness and drive adoption of our engineered products within the architect and engineering community in North America. The Business Development Manager will provide subject matter expertise and serve as a resource for customers. This position requires a technical background industry knowledge, presentation skills, ability to build relationships, teamwork, focus on sales growth and customer-oriented approach.
Job Location This role is remote based and candidates must be located in Florida, Georgia, or Texas.
Job Responsibilities
Managing the project opportunity pipeline by engaging with architect and engineering teams and secure specifications for Leviat's engineered products during design stage
Tracking projects from lead qualification to bid and closure in CRM
Meeting with engineers, architects and developer/owners, both in-person and virtually, to inform on the advantages of Leviat's products, provide professional continuous education presentations and drive specifications
Reviewing project specifications or calculations for engineers and architects; providing feedback regarding accuracy, suitability, and code compliance on specific applications
Advocating for our products in a variety of industry associations and institutes social and educational events within A/E/C community
Understanding how company products and solutions integrate with other building materials during the construction process
Working collaboratively with a team of field sales professionals to develop project capture plans and ensure project lead sales conversion
Visiting jobsites with or without the sales professional to educate end user on the proper use of Leviat's engineered products
Acting as an intermediary between external engineers/architects and Leviat engineering team regarding project design requirements
Coordinating with marketing, product management and technical services teams to create and maintain presentations and other marketing materials
Collaborating with sales and operations teams to forecast future demand using opportunity pipeline management and CRM tracking
Assisting product management with initiatives such as collecting customer input for new product development, conducting voice of customer surveys and reporting market intelligence on industry trends and competitor activity
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in structural, civil or relevant engineering is preferred but not required
5+ years of working experience in the commercial construction industry and product specification market
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and knowledge of CSI Specifications with emphasis on Division 03
Experience with CRM and lead generation services (i.e. Salesforce, CMD, Speclink, etc)
Strong communication skills, able to tailor messages for different audiences
History of developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships
Cold calling, negotiation & presentation experience
Highly organized, self-motivated, problem-solver, with a growth mindset
Willingness to travel across USA & Canada up to 50%
