As a mid‑senior level engineer, you will partner with cross‑functional teams—frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and QA—to build scalable, high‑performance backend services. Your work will directly impact millions of workers worldwide, contributing to a 4.83 average rating on G2, Trustpilot, and other review platforms. The role is fully remote with optional WeWork support. Responsibilities

Collaborate in a cross‑functional team to design, develop, and ship new backend features and APIs. Participate in product planning from discovery through launch, providing technical guidance across all stages. Build and maintain high‑volume, high‑performance services, handling concurrency, idempotency, and security. Optimize database performance, including query tuning and migrations for PostgreSQL. Implement robust input validation, JWT authentication, and queue‑based scalability for APIs. Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices. Experience with at least one other server‑side language. Expertise in SQL, especially PostgreSQL, with hands‑on database modeling and query optimization. Solid grasp of OOP principles and design patterns. Proven ability to design systems for scalability and large transaction volumes. 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS environments. Preferred

SaaS product experience running 24/7 on major cloud vendors. Experience with serverless architecture on AWS. Knowledge of FinTech industry challenges. Benefits
