Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs
Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination
Prepares patients for examination by reviewing current medications and reviewing documents in medical record
Prepares medical chart and records patient information needed to support the reason for visit such as vital signs and reason for visit
Coordinates prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications using standard process and as advised by provider
Provides basic patient care and treatments such as taking vitals, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection advised by the provider
Observes patient, documents, and reports any changes in condition to the provider for instructions in taking vital actions for care
Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes within the LVN scope of practice
Maintains patient care flow
Answers patient and physician incoming messages with provider input
Serves as a patient advocate and applies appropriate resources to support patient care
Provides review of MA skills and performance abilities using designated evaluation tools
Performs quality assurance and quality control measures to maintain compliance in the clinical environment
Assists as a chaperone when needed upon completion of the required Chaperone Training
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education: Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program
License/Certifications:
Valid CA LVN license required
BLS from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required (BLS expiration date has to be valid 60 days start date)
IV/BW (intravenous/blood withdrawal) certification, must acquire within one year from hire date
Work Experience: 1+ years of LVN experience in an outpatient setting preferred
Shift: Day Overtime Status: Nonexempt Base Pay: $28.53 - $44.22/hr
