This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go‑to‑market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges. Role focus: Provide Technical Thought Leadership for the Communications Developer Services organization and service alignment to AWS Wickr. Advise and deliver strategic outcomes across a wide range of industry sectors and challenging environments, engaging with customer Security Architects and CISOs, and interfacing with AWS sales, product marketing, and product management. Responsibilities
Lead the conversation on security, risk, and compliance with large AWS customers Manage disparate senior stakeholders within customer environments to deliver consensus and drive positive customer outcomes on AWS Help customers understand how to integrate AWS security controls into their own control frameworks and demonstrate approaches to implement their controls on AWS Partner directly with AWS customers to help them understand the implementation of AWS security requirements and how they can achieve ongoing assurance over their security, resilience, and compliance needs Direct AWS Solutions Architects, Sales, and Partner teams across multiple engagements within each customer to drive targeted outcomes and consistent advice Work with customers to resolve complex security concerns and demonstrate security, resilience, and compliance outcomes on the AWS platform through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations/recommendations, and hands-on demonstrations Develop industry-leading security resources based on projected customer needs and current demand Build strong relationships to help customers understand how to respond to security incidents Assist the AWS compliance team in determining the strategic direction of AWS compliance programs based on customer interaction and metrics Stay connected with industry trends and maintain relationships with key industry personnel and policymakers Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of professional or military experience 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) 7+ years of experience in the design, implementation and operation of complex systems 5+ years of experience in an information security or compliance role Preferred Qualifications
Experience working internationally and navigating different corporate cultures Deep understanding of cloud computing Demonstrated ability to solve complex security, resilience, and compliance challenges Experience in public speaking and senior-level presentations Experience defining security, resilience, and compliance strategies with on-schedule delivery of outcomes Degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA/M, CIPP/CIPM/CIPT) Equal opportunity employer statement and accommodations information are available in the original posting as required by law.
