The Associate Counsel will play a key role in managing the legal aspects of our nationwide real‑estate portfolio, focusing on negotiating and finalizing new retail lease arrangements and handling all related agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate de novo retail leases and related real‑estate documents across Ivy’s expanding clinic portfolio.

Partner with internal business teams and landlords to align lease terms with Ivy’s operational and strategic goals.

Provide legal counsel on real‑estate issues such as dispute resolution, landlord‑tenant obligations, enforcement actions, and operational concerns.

Collaborate with Real Estate, Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure legal terms align with business needs.

Support development and refinement of internal lease templates, negotiation playbooks, and process efficiencies.

Track and manage the status of lease negotiations and approvals through internal systems and workflows.

Qualifications and Requirements

6–10 years of legal experience with a strong focus on retail leasing and commercial real‑estate transactions.

Demonstrated experience managing a high volume of leasing transactions and legal documentation.

Strong negotiation skills with a practical, business‑oriented approach and sound judgment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Competitive base salary and performance‑based bonus.

Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.).

Generous paid time off and parental leave.

Remote work flexibility.

Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a mission‑driven healthcare organization.

Compensation for this role can range from $175,000.00 to $200,000.00 based on experience.
