The Procedural Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who coordinates patient care delivery through the nursing process. The RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops individualized plans of care, and evaluates patient response. Essential Functions of the Role

Conduct accurate clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing plans of care, modifying plans to meet clinical outcomes. Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, support evidence‑based practice changes, and participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives. Create a compassionate, supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff. Recognize and incorporate patients’ and families’ unique differences into individualized plans of care. Preserve confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights of patients and families; identify and resolve ethical and clinical concerns. Facilitate learning for patients and families, nursing staff, and other health‑care team members; integrate appropriate education throughout the continuum of care. Collaborate interdependently with colleagues and community; delegate tasks and care to appropriate staff. Use strategies and available resources for problem‑solving; consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in planning and delivering patient care. Improve nursing practice and the work environment through shared governance, decision‑making processes, and ongoing professional growth. Key Success Factors

Knowledge and understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations; hospital and department/unit standards, protocols, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology and principles of health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention and management; medications and drugs, common dosages, and possible adverse reactions. Knowledge of medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Observation of changes in the medical condition of patients and effective communication to other nursing staff members and physicians/providers. Provide age‑specific, quality, patient‑centered care to all patients through the nursing process and standards of nursing practice. General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and e‑mail. Benefits

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher. EXPERIENCE: 2 years RN experience; conscious sedation experience preferred. LICENSE / REGISTRATION: Registered Nurse (RN). BLS: BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer. ACLS: ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
