Job Summary As the Global Insights Senior Manager, you will lead insight generation to facilitate decision enablement across the Commercial organization for the inflammation pipeline. You will lead primary market research, strategic secondary analytics, and synthesis of internal knowledge, providing strategic partnership to support global product strategy, brand building, and milestones for internal governance.
Responsibilities
Synthesize information from a variety of sources (market research, competitive intelligence, secondary data, advisory boards) to develop strategic insights that address business needs.
Integrate insights and knowledge to develop business cases and facilitate workshops to support clinical development plans, lifecycle management, and other strategic decisions.
Plan, design, and conduct primary market research for multiple assets in various stages of the product lifecycle.
Lead ad hoc strategic secondary analytics to inform strategic decisions.
Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, and act as a devil’s advocate when needed.
Partner with commercial leadership and cross‑functional partners to define and prioritize objectives, budget, and work plans.
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with best‑in‑class vendors and seek opportunities to innovate and advance capabilities.
Support advancement of AI capabilities for global insights generation.
Ensure routine and ad‑hoc projects comply with all Amgen SOPs and meet service‑level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget.
Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree and 2 years of commercial insights or consulting experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of commercial insights or consulting experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of commercial insights or consulting experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of commercial insights or consulting experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of commercial insights or consulting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional business acumen, strategic / critical thinking skills, and ability to influence key decisions.
Ability to extract, analyze, treat, and consolidate data from different sources with rigor and a high level of accuracy.
Strong knowledge of drug development and the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience leading primary market research.
Strategic thinking to support key business decisions.
Collaborative teamwork across functional groups.
Excellent presentation skills to explain complex concepts to senior management.
Strong prioritization skills for multiple responsibilities and projects.
Experience with biopharmaceutical industry datasets and databases.
