The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) assists the Nurse Manager in leading a team of care providers to provide patient-focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. The ANM promotes a healthy work environment for the team while cultivating collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team provides patient care and supportive services utilizing the Nursing Professional Practice Model. Care is directed towards achieving positive patient care outcomes, maximizing patient and family involvement in the plan of care, increasing efficiency and decreasing costs. Responsibilities
Assist with the planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of patient care operations for a designated area on a 24-hour basis as required. Operationalize the Medical Center’s mission, vision, values, and goals and help create an environment that supports the nursing professional practice model. Contribute to ongoing operations of the Nursing Department and manage, guide, coach, and evaluate the work performance of patient care staff in a designated area under the guidance of the Nurse Manager. Collaborate with other patient care departments/areas related to patient care operations and services. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred. Current Ohio RN license. Two to three years of clinical experience in a patient care setting. Current certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise, or certification must be achieved within the timeline of eligibility. Demonstrated leadership skills and related responsibilities. Education and Experience Details
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a major in nursing. Additional education: Master’s Degree or equivalent with a major in nursing (preferred). Job Details
