Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the enterprise technology space.

Experience with AI/ML technologies as applied to data.

Experience working with cloud-based data infrastructure or services.

Experience with development aspects of building applications or databases.

Preferred qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent work experience in a software/systems engineering or lead position.

Experience working with Google Cloud Platform: Data Analytics, Databases and BI/Looker.

Experience building AI/ML and data platform products for cloud customers.

Experience shipping enterprise products to a developer or data science audience.

Experience with generative AI models and the open‑source community.

Ability to translate complex technical topics into business‑relevant narratives and work cross‑functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.

About the Job The Global Solutions team delivers innovative, repeatable and enterprise‑ready solutions focused on business value via solution prioritization and bill‑of‑materials creation in close collaboration with the Practice Architect team. The team works closely to ensure alignment with industry strategy and portfolio management across the data sales play portfolio to drive business impact.

As a Solutions Manager, Data, you will help drive vision, mission, and strategy around key solution areas. The goals of the solution management function are to deliver impactful, customer‑relevant business outcomes and enable repeatable, low‑friction, solution‑based selling. You will develop new solution initiatives and deliver the materials to support them in collaboration with a broad, cross‑functional group of stakeholders, including Solutions and Practice Architects, Product Management & Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.

You will be accountable for delivering end‑to‑end solutions that accelerate customer adoption and improve the effectiveness of field sales in articulating solution‑based value propositions to customers. You will deliver thought leadership, identify and incorporate industry trends in the database management and analytics space, plan, build, and address core market opportunities through solution‑based selling, and partner with key stakeholders to ensure the technical and commercial readiness of these solutions.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer needs and market opportunity to select and prioritize Google Cloud solutions across our Data Cloud practice area.

Define and validate solutions with an end‑to‑end focus on technical and commercial readiness to accelerate customer adoption.

Manage cross‑functional collaboration to drive asset development.

Enable low‑friction customer consumption and work closely with enablement teams to activate the field.

Own and manage the ongoing lifecycle of each solution, including promoting awareness internally and externally (including partners) and evaluating success via measurement of business indicators such as revenue, customer acquisition, and solution adoption.

Compensation The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $218,000–$306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
