Addiction Technician or Specialist - Day & Overnight Shifts (56129) at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR). This role provides direct clinical care in the Detox Center, including intakes/discharges, documentation, counseling and case management, monitoring vital signs and withdrawal, and coordinating resources and transport. The Detox Center operates 24/7 in a 30-bed facility offering ASAM 3.2 (Social Model Detox) care. Base pay

$22.04/hr - $36.36/hr Shifts

Day, Sunday - Wednesday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Overnight, Wednesday - Saturday 9:00 pm - 7:00 am Shift differential

Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $1.00/hour Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $1.25/hour Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $1.75/hour Overnight Weekday (Mon-Thu): $2.50/hour Overnight Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.50/hour Bilingual language differential pay

*rate depends on language requirements and fluency Requirements and qualifications

Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire Preferred: Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English Preferred: Valid Colorado Driver's License with appropriate driving record Technician Requirements:

High School diploma with Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) actively registered with Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) or Bachelor’s degree with plan to obtain CAT within 18 months of hire Entry level: zero to six months experience Specialist Requirements:

CAS (Certified Addiction Specialist) actively registered with DORA; six months’ work experience in behavioral health or equivalent Essential functions

Interact with clients who are actively intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal Provide guidance, safety, stability, and direction Identify emergency signals and respond appropriately Accurate, legal, timely documentation (admissions, discharges, inventories, screenings, and charting) Monitor and document vital signs and condition; data entry in Electronic Health Monitor/observe UA or BA tests and document results Maintain facility; ensure doors are secured Dispose of biohazard waste per OSHA standards Refer clients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling Assist in transporting admitted clients to hospitals, aftercare, or approved services as directed by Shift Supervisor Complete care coordination tasks for assigned role Vaccinations and health requirements
