is currently seeking a

JCCE Labs Journeyman Software Developer

to join our team in

Dahlgren, VA

in support of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC). The Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) provides timely and accurate engineering and scientific analysis to military commanders and government officials to advance the national security strategy of the United States. A functional component of the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), JWAC uses information provided by the intelligence community to analyze and recommend solutions to some of the most complex problems faced by our military and civilian leaders. JWAC supports both crisis operations and contingency planning.

Responsibilities

Performs implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development to modernize systems.

Applies specific functional knowledge, working/general industry knowledge.

DevSecOps experience from an OS and Software Development perspective.

Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Concentrates on using both back-end and front-end languages to build complete solutions.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working on software development teams

3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming, including Python, Go, C# or Java

3+ years of experience with version control systems

Experience with deploying applications and CI/CD tools, including GitLab

Experience with application containerization

Experience with system automation via PowerShell or Bash

Knowledge of programming fundamentals, concepts, and language mechanics

HS diploma or GED

Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date

Must be a US Citizen

Must have and be able to maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security clearance at the appropriate level.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash, C#, .NET and .NET Core, Web API, MVC, or LINQ

Experience with database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB

Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, d3, React, or Vue

Experience with Containers, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher

Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud

Experience with AI and ML concepts or Large Language Models

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Knowledge of both Linux and Windows Administration a plus
