The successful candidate will deliver innovative, high?impact solutions to complex technical problems, lead new digital engineering capabilities, and drive the integration of complex system?of?systems. Responsibilities Lead the startup of a PW digital engineering development center to facilitate interdisciplinary, collaborative design, development, and verification of lifecycle?balanced system?of?systems solutions. Support creation and modification of development program approaches and top?level plans for highly complex programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise development excellence models. Define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all functional and program interfaces. Lead design and analyses to optimize system architecture, addressing affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, and security. Develop and maintain requirements management processes, tools, and practices, continuously improving planning, implementation, risk, and issue management.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Minimum 14+ years of engineering experience (Bachelors) or 12+ years (Masters) or 9+ years (PhD). Experience developing and refining program approaches and top?level plans for highly complex programs. Proven track record supporting program proposal development and technical planning for proprietary classified and unclassified programs. Ability to identify key program?level integration interfaces and challenges across major activities, teams, suppliers, and partners. Hands?on experience analyzing program and process metrics and delivering solutions using program management and digital engineering best practices. Experience conducting independent technical and programmatic reviews. Ability to develop and execute customer and program communication and contract plans.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Technical Competencies

Deep expertise in Model?Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and lifecycle data models across systems, software, and hardware domains. Experience designing secure digital engineering ecosystems for classified and unclassified programs, including data classification and security controls. Familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), container orchestration (Kubernetes), microservices, and infrastructure?as?code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Knowledge of PLM/ALM integration patterns, model repositories, federated vs. centralized data strategies, and traceability mechanisms across the digital thread. Experience with digital twin concepts, simulation integration, and linking physics?based models with engineering data and operational datasets. Demonstrated understanding of DevSecOps practices applied to engineering toolchains. Experience with interoperability standards and data exchange formats (AP233, OSLC, STEP, ReqIF, FMI). Background in cybersecurity controls and compliance frameworks relevant to defense programs (NIST SP?800?53, NIST?800?171, CMMC, RMF/A&A).

Engineering & Leadership Competencies

Track record of architecting and deploying end?to?end digital engineering capabilities at program or enterprise scale. Ability to lead cross?functional digital engineering technical councils and influence technical direction across engineering, IT, cybersecurity, suppliers, and customers. Experience developing program?level integration and verification strategies that leverage digital engineering artifacts for virtual verification and continuous validation. Strong mentoring and talent development experience to grow digital engineering capability in teams. Experience with proposals and program capture activities, including technical solution development, cost/benefit analysis, and risk assessment for digital infrastructure investments.

Tools & Languages

MBSE tools: Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Capella, No Magic, etc. PLM/ALM: Teamcenter, Windchill, DOORS, JAMA, Polarion, Jira. Cloud & DevOps: AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins/GitLab CI. Scripting & data tooling: Python, SQL, REST APIs, data transformation tools. Security/compliance tooling and processes for classification, tagging, and access control.

Education & Experience

Advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, combined with 14+ years of related work experience (or equivalent). Pay range: $147,050 $198,950. Relocation
