A leading law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4–6 years of complex commercial litigation experience to handle sophisticated matters in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have broad litigation experience, including alternative dispute resolution, and thrive in both state and federal court settings.
Base pay range: $230,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of general commercial litigation, from case inception through resolution.
Draft and respond to initial pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and contribute to case strategy.
Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions.
Participate in arbitrations (construction and/or international arbitration experience a plus).
Support partners in trial preparation and, where applicable, participate in trials and hearings.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver strategic, business-focused legal solutions.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in New York; Connecticut license a plus.
4–6 years of litigation experience, preferably at a large law firm.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience in New York state and federal courts.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range (NY): $230,000 – $257,500, based on experience, education, and market factors.
