We are currently seeking an experienced, professional, and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing organization. Flexible hours are provided with the need of some evening hours, in-person and telehealth sessions. This position will work in collaboration with our Psychiatrist on staff. Our mental health clinic is located at 33 W 60th St 6th floor New York, NY.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for all Athena clients (children and adults)
Conduct ongoing medication management when needed
Complete all required documentation by a given deadline and in compliance with program and state regulations
Ensures all clinical notes and client information are updated and accurate within the current EHR system
Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention when needed
Work in collaboration with administrative staff to ensure client needs are successfully met
Ability to commute between sites when needed
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
Bilingual in English and Spanish prefered
Must be certified with the Drug Enforcement Administration in order to prescribe medication to clients
Must be licensed in New York State
Experience working with Medicaid/Medicare Clients is a plus
Must be passionate about working with underserved communities and possess a high level of engagement, entrepreneurial, and interpersonal skills
$80 - $90 an hour
Compensation is based on credentials and experience.
Working Conditions This position requires travel to our Yonkers clinic. This is a professional work environment where a computer, desk, chair, and office supplies will be provided.
Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role above. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak on the phone or through virtual telehealth sessions conducted on a computer throughout the day, stand and sit for an extended period, and be able to write and answer emails in addition to carrying objects no greater than 25 pounds, when needed.
