Duties The Server Administrator's role is to ensure the stability, performance, and integrity of all Health System server systems. This includes hosts, virtual machines, physical servers, data storage systems, presentation services, authentication and authorization systems, data and server backup systems, and system services. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted business units. Manage workflow using an enterprise ticketing system. Windows Server Build and Administration. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ability to take project requirements and turn them into an executable plan. Respond to emergency server outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to server configuration, server relationships, and service records. Qualifications Associate's degree and four (4) years of related work experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. At least 4 years of Information Technology experience. At least 3 years of Windows and/or Linux Administration experience. Specialization in at least one of the following: Active Directory, Citrix, Databases, VMware, Linux/Unix, Storage Systems. Windows Server 2019/2022 Build and Administration. Redhat/Oracle Enterprise Linux 6, 7, 8 Build and Administration. Experience with DHCP, DNS, IP configuration. Scripting skills including PowerShell, vbscript, bash, Python or Kubernetes.
