Overview

Summary: Working through Floyd Healthcare Foundation, the Executive Director of Foundation Development is responsible for planning, implementation, and supervision of a comprehensive program to attract and gain financial support and community status for Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, working through the Floyd Healthcare Foundation. Programs supported range from broad community-based needs to specific medical center related expansions, upgrades, etc. Major Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, implements, and directs ongoing and special-project fundraising campaigns for Floyd Healthcare Foundation in support of Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, AH Polk Medical Center, AH Cherokee Medical Center and Heyman HospiceCare. Develops fundraising strategies for the Foundation. Coordinates activities of Foundation committees: Annual Fund, Corporate Partners, Investment, Focus on the Future, Kiki’s Kids Camp, Planned Giving, Major/Signature Giving and SPIRIT. Ensures effective operation of all committees. Meets with and advises Foundation Board and Committees. Prepares goals and objectives for each committee chair. Communicates regularly with the CEO of Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center and the Executive Director’s direct report regarding Foundation programs, projects, and activities. Oversees Cancer Navigators staff and activities. Attends monthly staff and board meetings. Manages two grant cycles and special events for the SPIRIT Committee and SPIRIT members. Conducts Annual Direct mail appeal. Conducts Annual Love Light Tree appeal. Hosts the annual Kiki’s Kids Camp for children with Type 1 diabetes. Assists Focus on the Future Committee with making grants to organizations providing health related programs for children and youth. Participates in the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event. Publicizes and interprets Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center’s mission and that of the Foundation to various publics; maintains community contacts. Serves as liaison between AH Floyd and the public whenever possible. Provides direction and support for Foundation staff. Conducts annual staff evaluations. Maintains membership of the Chamber of Commerce, Rome Seven Hills Rotary Club, and other organizations as deemed appropriate by Executive Director and/or Administration. Maintains Foundation financial records and donor records. Maintains knowledge of Raiser’s Edge donor software. Oversees weekly financial transmittals and monthly contribution reports. Acknowledges all donations within 24 hours. Oversees distribution of funds raised for special programs/projects. Works with the Investment Committee to assure appropriate investment for maximum growth of invested funds. Recruits and maintains relationships with volunteers and community leaders. Assists committee chairmen in selecting committee members. Maintains an open, working relationship with volunteers. Cultivates and maintains relationships with donors and prospective donors. Hosts Foundation recognition events. Maintains mailing lists. Keeps donor recognition wall current. Hosts donor/campaign events. Works with the accounting department on financial reporting and annual audit. Maintains membership and involvement in professional organizations to enhance knowledge of fundraising trends and to improve fundraising skills. Continue training and documentation to maintain certification as C.F.R.E. Maintain involvement in Georgia Association of Development. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: None required Education Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience Required: At least 3 years in a position of comparable responsibility Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: NA Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Frequent sitting and/or standing, often for long periods of time. Frequent walking bending, stooping, pushing, twisting, and turning. Occasionally lifts 10 pounds or more of office related equipment or supplies. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity in reaching, grasping and handling with repetitive use of hands and fingers in operating computer, calculator, telephone, copier, fax and similar office equipment. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols with normal range of vision, hearing, and ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Work-related stress due to volume and time constraints. May require travel by vehicle to alternative locations.
