Job Description Summary The Department of Microbiology, Molecular Genetics and Immunology at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) in Kansas City, KS, invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with a research program in Immunology with a cancer focus. The Department is currently undergoing expansion and growth, and preference will be given to candidates taking innovative approaches to study molecular mechanisms at the intersection of immunology and cancer that complement and synergize with existing expertise within the Department and the KUMC research community. Successful applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. (or similar doctoral degree) and are expected to be highly motivated with excellent communication, teaching, and writing skills, and to have demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with an impactful publication record.
Required Qualifications Education:
Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, including postdoctoral training, with an immunology focus
Job Duties
Establish or continue an externally funded, independent research program
Actively participate in graduate and medical education
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
