Our Sober Living and Mental Health Housing Supports some of the leading SUD and Mental Health outpatient centers in Orange County. We pride ourselves on providing not just the housing but the support for people looking to change their lives. Our Mens & Women's Houses are conveniently located throughout Orange County and provide a supportive and independent home environment for clients in full-time or part-time rehab programs. These homes are maintained to high standards, ensuring cleanliness, comfort, and tranquility.

Schedule: Part-Time On-Call We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for our team. This support position will play a pivotal role at our sober living and mental health houses, ensuring the highest standards of care, cleanliness and community are maintained day and night. This position supports men and women houses and is responsible for ensuring a safe and sober environment. BHTs do more than just monitor, they build relationships and community that ensure long term engagement with the program, sobriety, and stabilization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Observe and Report

Monitor clients with consistent check-ins and rounds

Provide companionship and support

Maintain documentation regarding clients through computer programs

Constant communication with the client’s clinical and medical team

Day to Day Support

Transport clients to personal care activities (grocery store, doctor appointments, etc.)

Assign and perform domestic and household tasks

Positively interact with clients and develop positive group dynamic

Provide Medication Observation, including managing access, reminders and documentation

Assist with the sober living and mental health intake process

Maintain Standards

Enforce policies and procedures while encouraging socially acceptable habits and behaviors

Monitor clients for signs of drug and alcohol use

Issue and collect random drug screenings

Education, Experience, & Skills Education High School Diploma. College credits in Human Services, Psychology, Education, Medicine, and/or Hospitality preferred.

Experience

Previous experience in customer services, hospitality, education or childcare.

Prior experience in the drug and alcohol treatment field is preferred but not required. Experience working as House Manager, Peer Support Specialist, or Detox Assistant is welcome!

12 months of sobriety, if personal experience with recovery.

Certificates & Licenses RAD-T, SUDRC, RAC, or CATC from CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP preferred OR able to become Drug and Alcohol Counselor before start date. Valid Driver's License.

Other Requirements

Negative TB test within past year

CPR Certification

Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings

Ability to stand, sit, squat, and walk up stairs

Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs.

Moderate frequency of computer keyboard and monitor.

Salary $20-25 an hour (based on experience and credential)
