Job Overview The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co‑op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. A) Building 3D Printers

Build prosumer‑grade 3D printers to expand our fleet, such as a Voron or Ratrig.

Qualify new printers into service and help outline processing conditions to ensure equipment meets minimum quality controls (primarily FDM and Resin Vat).

B) Repair, Upgrade or Up‑knowledge Existing Printers

Identify root cause of print failures across a fleet through systematic analysis.

Perform upgrades or process improvement to improve speed, reliability and versatility.

Identify and document equipment failures and part defects to improve or expand our quality control checks and Go‑No‑Go inspections and to help train new automated systems.

C) Continuous Improvements and R&D

Identify workflows in lab development & operations and 3D printing production for improvement opportunities.

Execute on research to expand our capabilities, such as 3DP for injection molding, 3DP of tablets/pills, or wetted path components for bioprocessing.

D) Side Gig Opportunities

Participate hands‑on post‑processing techniques to learn practical tips and tricks for assembly, as well as ensuring high quality parts to go into a pharmaceutical cleanroom.

Manning a table at outreach events such as Take Your Child to Work Day.

Exposure to and collaboration with different departments and multiple parts of a pharmaceutical process.

Onsite Attendance This role will be primarily onsite, with an expectation for onsite attendance of 4‑5 days per week.

Required Education and Experience

Candidate must be currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Candidate must be currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to university following this co‑op assignment to complete credit requirements for graduation.

Candidate must be available for full‑time employment for a period of 6 months in Apr 2026 – Sep 2026.

Preferred Experience and Skills

Knowledge of some of the following: X‑ray computed tomography (XRCT), optical microscopy, hardness testing, and tensile testing.

Hands‑on experience with 3D printers (any of: CAD / slicing / printing / fixing printers).

3D CAD.

Good documentation skills.

This role will most likely be best suited for a 2nd or 3rd co‑op cycle.

Salary Range Salary range:

The salary range for this role is $39,600.00–$105,500.00 USD

Work Arrangement and Relocation U.S. Hybrid Work Model: Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office‑based positions in the U.S. will work a hybrid model consisting of three total days on‑site per week (Monday – Thursday), with Friday designated as a remote‑working day, unless business critical tasks require an on‑site presence.

Relocation: No relocation.
