Job Number: 337116 We are pioneers. We were the first to break the sound barrier and to certify a commercial helicopter. We were aboard NASA’s first lunar mission and brought advanced tiltrotor systems to market. And today, we’re defining the future of on demand mobility.
This position will provide advanced sourcing of materials from approved suppliers at the best value to support production, sales, and engineering requirements, as well as advanced knowledge supporting Bell kitting projects for procurement and planning activities, and training and support for new team members.
What you’ll be doing as a Supply Chain Procurement Sr Professional
Appropriate materials from approved suppliers at best value to support customer requirements and production
Initiate Purchase Orders to maintain minimum required and approved stocking levels
Create justification to support purchasing decisions
Obtain appropriate purchase order approvals and notify supplier(s) of successful award(s) (spending authority for purchases of up to $50,000)
Follow-up to ensure purchase requirements are met, ensure timely delivery, and resolve any open issues
Coordinate any challenges with suppliers and internal departments (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, etc) to facilitate appropriate resolution
Support CPR/BPR requirements and ensure appropriate certification and documentation accompany repaired parts and components
Work closely with Purchasing Expeditor to ensure timely material deliveries
Coordinate all repairs and warranties
Prepare additional support packages as required for purchases of over $250,000
Input BOM parts into Visual ERP System
Ensure PO releases agree with MRP/forecast requirements
Responsible for Bell Legacy Spares Procurement
Responsible for purchasing for (2) geographically disperse locations, controlling costs and optimizing purchases for specified commodities
Identify and develop sources, create purchase orders, and coordinate timely delivery
Evaluate MRP and Purchase Requests.
Aid with Maintaining Approved Supplier List, and obtaining Annual Supplier Certification and PIEAs
Aid with company credit card monthly reconciliation
Aid with company travel arrangements, for coworkers within our facility
Provide support to Suppliers, that inquire about payment details
Purchase consumable supplies for our facility
Arrangement transportation arrangements, between our location and the Suppliers location(s)
Skills you bring to this role
Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
MRP experience
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Extensive knowledge of ERP systems
Visual Enterprise and aerospace parts knowledge
What you need to be successful
High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other field related to job duties
6 years of experience related to Supply Chain job duties
Physical Requirements
Office environment, sitting, standing, bending for varied periods of time
Shop floor/Maintenance area/warehousing/storage areas
