Inside Sales Representative
to work one of our clients based in Danbury, CT.
Seeking a technically oriented team player with a customer-focused mindset to support sales processes and strengthen internal application support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond to inquiries from customers, manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, and agents including:
Monitoring CRM and email for inquiries Request for quotation Pricing Technical product information Application recommendations and product selection Request for literature and/or samples
Sales lead processing
Follow-up sales leads promptly (within hours) Assist in the distribution of sales leads and inquiries to sales team Using CRM (HubSpot) contact database to capture leads and lead responses as appropriate
Maintain contact database in CRM
Enter and update customer contacts Attach correspondence to contact records where appropriate Enter and update sales opportunities where appropriate
Proactive customer contact
Follow-up on quotes issued Initiate conversations with dormant customers
SUPPORT:
External
Technical support for customers, reps, agents, and distributors Organize the distribution of sales samples and literature as required
Internal
Assist Sales Manager in the preparation of reports including recording and sorting orders, key accounts, new customers, and other key process indicators to assist in analyzing and forecasting the business. Assist Sales Manager with collecting and quantifying customer opportunities for forecasting purposes. Work the company booth at tradeshows as necessary including set-up, tear-down, direct prospect/customer interaction, and lead processing. Assist Sales Manager with establishing key account pricing structures Assist Marketing with the preparation of datasheets by advising product performance specifications Assist Marketing with pricing information as required
KNOWLEDGE:
Technical and commercial knowledge of company product families including:
Specifications, pricing and discount structure Applications Product features and selection Competitive products and technology Advantages of company products Part number schemes Fundamental troubleshooting
Related internal processes
Quote generation and follow-up Sales lead processing Contact database maintenance
SKILLS:
Proficient in the use of computers, software, and business machines including:
Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint CRM (HubSpot is a positive) Basic office equipment such as: telephone, fax, copier, scanner
Business writing
Compose thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling
ABILITY:
Effective in communication and negotiation
Listen to customers and representatives to understand their requirements Effectively communicating technical and commercial ideas to a diverse audience Influence customers to choose company solutions for appropriate applications Take an organized approach to ensure a timely, accurate response to inquiries Balance both the needs of the business and the needs of the customer Resolve conflict when necessary Articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely using both written and verbal formats
