Sr Director Business Applications/Software Engineering (Remote) Salesforce
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director to lead our
Order Management Technology Stack . This role will serve as a key member of the Technology leadership team, responsible for driving end-to-end order lifecycle management technology, ensuring seamless system integrations, and building scalable technology solutions that support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of
enterprise systems leadership, Salesforce expertise, and modern software engineering acumen , paired with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams. Order Management & Business Applications Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of
lead-to-order
systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability. Partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, and Revenue teams to optimize order processing, billing, renewals, and revenue recognition workflows. Define and enforce policies, SLAs, and metrics that ensure a
seamless customer experience
from order capture through fulfillment. Salesforce.com & Business Systems Serve as the executive owner of the
Salesforce.com ecosystem
(Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Workato, Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, integrations, and custom development). Oversee Salesforce governance, architecture, security, and scalability in alignment with business goals. Drive integration between Salesforce and adjacent platforms (ERP, Order Management, Marketing Automation, Data Warehouses). Champion user adoption and continuous improvement through training, documentation, and change management. Software Engineering & Technology Leadership Lead a global team of engineers, administrators, and architects responsible for building and maintaining mission-critical business applications. Ensure delivery excellence by promoting best practices in
agile development, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architecture . Establish a strong culture of engineering quality, innovation, and accountability. Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors to continuously evolve the tech stack supporting order management and revenue operations. Leadership & Strategy Build and develop high-performing teams with a focus on career growth, mentorship, and organizational health. Partner with executive leadership to align systems strategy with
corporate objectives, revenue targets, and scalability goals . Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to maximize value while ensuring cost efficiency. Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives by translating complex technology initiatives into clear business outcomes. Qualifications 12+ years of progressive experience in
enterprise applications, or software engineering , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. 10+ years of Salesforce.com experience overall, with proven leadership across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, CPQ, ideally Marketing or Experience). Proven track record overseeing
Salesforce.com strategy and delivery
at scale, ideally in the life sciences space. Strong knowledge of
lead-to-order processes
and integration across CRM, ERP, and billing systems. Deep technical understanding of modern software development practices, system integrations, APIs, and cloud platforms. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels-comfortable presenting at the executive table while rolling up sleeves to solve problems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
