Staffmark is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Baker, LA. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair machinery, vehicles, electrical systems, and facility structures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Pay Rate: $35 - $45/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Inspect and test machinery and equipment per manufacturer specs; dismantle and replace defective parts
Perform maintenance and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical work, fabrication, welding, and vehicle servicing
Clean and lubricate mechanical parts like shafts, bearings, and gears
Install and repair electrical components such as transformers and wiring
Maintain the physical structure of the facility
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to meet production demands
Develop critical parts and approved vendor lists
Collaborate with department supervisors to implement best maintenance practices
Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors and vendors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Minimum 2 years warehouse maintenance experience; 5+ years preferred
3+ years electrical repair experience
Strong work ethic and self-motivated
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to measure accurately using various tools
High integrity and positive team player attitude
