Catalyst Acoustics is seeking a Senior Finance and Operations Analyst. This key position functions as a trusted collaborator at our flagship Wood Center of Excellence, directly supporting the Finance Director with dotted line support to the General Manager and will be responsible for operational and financial support. Examples of recurring activities include (but not limited to):
Operational support for performing physical inventories
Before count value
Analysis of counts and values
Post-entry analysis
Quote and Order margin analysis and review with the team weekly
Review direct labor scanned hours and utilization by job for accuracy
Become an onsite subject matter expert (SME) for the Infor SyteLine ERP (CSI)
Composing the Monthly Operational Review (MOR) deck to review with the executive team
Preparation of commissions
Partner with IT to ensure the accuracy of commission rates in the maintenance table
WIP and finished goods reconciliations and valuations
Other Ad Hoc Analysis
3rd Party WIP and raw materials tracking
Ownership of maintaining SOPs
Direct Labor Utilization review
Purchasing review
Waste/scrap analysis
Freight analysis
In addition to dotted line responsibility to the business unit general manager and the support of top management, this position will work with staff to achieve a consolidated view of several brands.
Job Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis
Track financial status by monitoring variances from plan and forecast.
Recommend changes to quarterly and annual forecasting based on changing conditions and singular events.
Describe changes in profitability by product line and geographic sales channels from plan and prior year.
Develop internal management reporting and report on KPIs that provide timely, actionable data to key decision makers.
Tie financial information into activities, objectives and performance indicators for sales, marketing, R&D, and operating functions.
Consolidation & Reporting
Coordinate the consolidation activities and analytics.
Perform the worldwide consolidations and allocations necessary to complete the AOP schedules to corporate by deadline.
Ensure the integrity of financial information to reporting unit statutory reporting submission.
Maintain sales eliminations amongst intercompany partners.
Budgeting & Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
Works with the functional leads to develop the relationships and assumptions necessary to predict variable margin for the annual operating plan.
Provides the information and templates necessary to populate SG&A expenses by department for the US annual operating plan identifying any significant increases from present year’s forecast.
Business Systems & Data Management
Build/Maintain all aspects of consolidated, multidimensional reporting in the business system to analyze the operations.
Populate non-financial information on a monthly basis (i.e. headcount).
Work with staff to make any changes to the local general ledger necessary to accurately describe business operations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
Provide management and functional department leads with relevant, accurate and timely reporting on spend analysis.
Hold monthly review meetings with the department leads and support questions and follow-up as needed.
Cost Allocation & Intercompany Accounting
Perform account allocations in accordance with established level of effort distributions amongst business segments and geographic sales channels.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
Minimum 4 years progressive operational finance experience in a manufacturing environment including prior involvement with budgeting and forecasting.
Experience in business intelligence reporting tools.
Above average computer skills, oral and written communication skills are required.
Understanding of business consolidations and financial analysis.
Proven track record of collaboration skills demonstrating a positive attitude and personal accountability; ability to resolve issues/conflicts in a timely manner.
Self-starter who is able to function under minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
