Student Nurse Apprentice – Intermediate Care Unit (ICCU) (PRN Days) Novant Health

– Hilton Head Medical Center, Hilton Head, SC Schedule: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Day Shift, PRN

Job Summary The Student Nurse Apprentice (SNA) works as part of the healthcare team at Novant Health. The SNA establishes authentic, personalized relationships with patients and their support systems, collaborates with a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care that promote optimal health or support a peaceful death, and documents patient information and care activities. The SNA assists patients with activities of daily living and maintains a safe, clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

Work under the supervision of a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Document patient information and care activities.

Foster a team environment that encourages teamwork, engagement, and community involvement.

Support diversity and inclusion initiatives and uphold the “First Do No Harm” standard for patient safety.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Rising sophomore in a bachelor’s nursing program or in the last year of nursing school required.

NAI registry as a NAI in good standing required; current NAII certification with state Board of Nursing preferred.

Completion of Fundamentals of Nursing Course and a semester of clinicals required.

Basic computer skills for documentation preferred.
