JEWELRY/SALES SPECIALIST – Fred Meyer Jewelers

Base pay range $16.90/hr – $24.00/hr

Desired Previous Job Experience

Sales, retail and/or jewelry experience

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education

High school diploma or GED

Commitment to excellence, desire to grow, and ability to provide a refreshing shopping experience

Goal‑oriented and sales‑driven with a passion to succeed

Minimum 18 years of age

Ability to pass a drug test

Maintain confidentiality

Accuracy and attention to detail

Essential Job Functions

Model Customer‑first behavior and encourage associates to deliver excellent service

Achieve personal targets that drive sales (e.g., credit applications and protection plan attachment rates)

Promote Diamond Parties and special events with each customer

Collaborate with teammates toward store goals, fostering a positive working atmosphere

Foster lifelong emotional connections with customers through clienteling

Provide product knowledge, features, and benefits when presenting merchandise

Advise customers on quality, cuts, and value of jewelry and gems, and assist in selecting mountings and settings

Attend required monthly meetings

Operate point of sale (POS) systems and process payments or obtain credit authorizations

Inspect and clean customers’ jewelry

Provide estimates for jewelry and watch repairs

Perform watch battery replacements and watch band adjustments

Follow receiving and processing procedures

Display merchandise and promotional materials per corporate merchandising plans

Execute store opening and closing procedures per policy

Perform basic housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning display surfaces, and washing windows

Maintain safety and security by following all loss prevention and security policies

Participate in inventory processes and complete case counts

Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
