Responsibilities
Promote a learning and training environment for all kitchen members, focusing on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, and time management to ensure culinary, sales, and service success.
Ensure timely execution of the Expo Station, Opening, and Closing according to company guidelines, and maintain complete knowledge of all food menus/recipes.
Facilitate training programs and provide constructive performance feedback to kitchen teammates while practicing open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team.
Ensure transfer of learned skills on‑the‑job by implementing company training programs and enforcing applicable safety and sanitation programs.
Co‑manage team meetings with the Front of the House and manage kitchen expenses to ensure budgetary compliance.
Qualifications
2+ years of high‑volume culinary/hospitality experience.
Current food handler’s card and other certifications required by state law.
Knowledge of food/restaurant service skills, including all phases of food production and service, storage, rotation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and timing standards.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven record of increasing responsibility.
High school diploma or GED.
Willingness to perform other duties as required.
