Position Summary The Digital & Social Media Specialist will develop, manage, and execute social media and digital programs for Central Bank Center, Lexington Opera House, Rupp Arena, and the CommonSpirit Health Stage at Gatton Park. The role serves as the lead social media specialist and social voice of the venues, responsible for strategic planning, content creation, and collaboration with marketing, sales, events, and booking teams.

This role pays an annual salary of $50,000–$60,000.

Responsibilities

Manage all venue social media platforms and contribute to broader marketing and digital initiatives.

Ensure on‑time rollout of show announcements on Instagram, Facebook, X, and other platforms.

Own and manage the voice across all four venues on digital platforms, engaging in real‑time social media activities during events and sales days.

Implement and maintain a social media calendar/strategy.

Build relationships with local influencers and tastemakers.

Ideate and create engaging, fresh content to grow venue social footprints and support sales initiatives.

Capture behind‑the‑scenes event content, create recap summaries, and produce videos for stakeholders.

Engage across social channels, building followers and measuring KPIs and benchmarks.

Monitor sites daily, provide real‑time support during events, and liaise with guest services for online customer service.

Act as on‑site marketing representative for designated events, recording content, managing sponsors, and media partners.

Assist in planning and executing marketing and sales campaigns to maximize attendance and revenue.

Oversee venue website, ensuring information is current and aligned with industry trends.

Manage, create, and schedule digital signage at all venues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or equivalent.

2–4 years of related experience.

Prior experience in sports and entertainment preferred.

Excellent copywriting skills.

Proficiency with social media management tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.).

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.

Independent decision‑making skills and ability to resolve moderate complexity problems.

Deep knowledge of major platforms and current digital trends.

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Highly organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds.

Adaptable under pressure to meet deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

High personal integrity and commitment to organizational interests.

Basic photography and videography skills.
