Are you an experienced Scrum Master passionate about driving Agile transformation and delivering high-impact solutions? We’re seeking a Scrum Master II to lead multiple Agile teams focused on enhancing our core insurance platforms—including policy administration, claims processing, and customer-facing systems.
What does a SCRUM MASTER II do?
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) across multiple teams.
Coach development teams and Product Owners on Agile best practices and enterprise delivery standards.
Remove impediments and manage cross-team dependencies, especially those involving legacy systems and data platforms.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain prioritized, well-groomed backlogs aligned with business goals.
Drive delivery of strategic initiatives such as digital transformation, API integrations, and system modernization.
Track and leverage Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to promote continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Security, and Compliance teams to support high-quality, secure releases.
Mentor junior Scrum Masters and contribute to Agile community of practice.
What is required? Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
Certifications
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required. Advanced CSM (A-CSM) preferred.
Experience
5+ years as a Scrum Master in software development or IT delivery required.
2+ years supporting insurance or financial services systems preferred.
Familiarity with personal auto insurance domains (quoting, policy admin, claims, billing) is a plus.
Experience with Guidewire or DuckCreek platforms preferred.
Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks in regulated, enterprise environments.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Agile project management tools.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Azure Pipelines).
Other skills and abilities:
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coach teams effectively.
Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communicator with the ability to influence and align teams.
