Counter Sales , you are considered the face of the retail store and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for all automotive parts needs. A background and knowledge of automotive parts is preferred, and that experience can come from working in the automotive industry or by tinkering with cars and trucks. This is a role that can suit you whether you want to build a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, work full-time or part-time, or explore other opportunities at NAPA in the future. What you will be doing

Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members with customer questions Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits the store Maintain a customer-focused, high-energy approach in a fast-paced environment Welcome store customers and engage to provide a positive consumer experience Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system This is the right opportunity for you if you:

Genuinely enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions Have gained parts experience through the automotive industry or by working on cars/trucks over the years Are willing to learn all things automotive if you don’t have the background Want to join a team where you can learn and grow your career What you’ll need

Valid Driver's License Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment Strong listening skills and empathy for customers Nice to have (not a deal breaker if you don’t)

Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems Customer-centric mindset (external/internal) ASE Certifications What’s in it for you
