About the Role
As a Sales Advisor, you will provide excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers through your store to actively sell our products and offering support and guidance. Using your fashion and product knowledge, you will give customers all relevant information for the best experience. You will also work on garment refill & care, presentation, and contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house, working closely with the rest of your store team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Customer Sales & Profit
Provide excellent customer service: welcoming and guiding customers through the store and OMNI experience where available, supporting them with direct customer service.
Willingness to engage and have conversations with customers to provide excellent service.
Guide customers through our fashion trends, stories and products in all areas of the store.
Ability to effectively promote and sell our products to customers.
Actively promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives.
Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
Support with commercial or operational actions to reach sales targets with the store management team.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
Keep up-to-date with fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers.
Use your product and fashion knowledge to share relevant information with customers.
Team & Development
Retain and share your service, fashion and store operations knowledge and skills with colleagues.
Follow all procedures, routines and legal requirements in all areas of the store.
Give and receive feedback with your colleagues to learn, develop and support each other.
Participate in relevant onboarding, introduction processes and trainings and courses relevant for your role and future development.
Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
Complete the full garment cycle from unpacking and refill to steaming and ensure good garment care.
Operate fitting room and checkout areas according to best practice and processes.
Contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house (including stockrooms).
Support garment presentation, execution and maintain attractive merchandise displays, clear trends and stories according to visual and commercial guidelines.
Ensure good stock levels with replenishment routines on the sales floor.
Keep up with best practice for in-store OMNI Services and in-store tech services/tools (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store etc).
Support opening and closing of the store.
Follow all H&S guidelines and legal requirements applicable to the role and responsibilities.
Qualifications

Assessment Tool We use an online assessment tool called Maki for skills-based selection of applicants for sales advisor positions within some of our stores. Maki is not an automated decision-making tool. Rather, it is a tool that uses an AI-created avatar to present a set of multiple-choice questions. These questions are prepared by the H&M hiring team to assess candidates’ ability to perform the duties of the position for which they are applying. The assessment calculates your total score based on predefined point values provided by our H&M team. The hiring team will review your whole application, including your assessment score, to decide whether to advance each candidate to the next stage. Completing the assessment is optional.
