Equitable . The Sr. Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for the overall relationship and economic management of a portfolio of group benefit clients with annualized premium of $20M+. This position is a key strategic relationship management and revenue-generating resource for clients, brokers and the EQH organization. The SAM focuses on internal and external partnerships and strategies that result in long-term growth and persistency. The SAM represents the full range of employer and employee-paid EQH products and services to assigned brokers, GAs, and clients. The SAM proactively seeks opportunities to increase revenue, both organically and through cross-sell opportunities. The SAM is a Trusted Advisor to brokers and policyholders, educating and training customers while maintaining the customer and Equitable Employee Benefits perspective. The SAM collaborates to align internally and respond to customer needs. Key Job Responsibilities

Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key personnel for assigned customers and brokers Collaborate with Distribution and internal partners to meet customer expectations, provide value-added solutions, achieve growth and persistency objectives, and manage expectations Manage a book of business in the 250+ life segment Renewals: meet persistency goals through renewal analysis, provide pricing recommendations with the Sales Executive, discuss renewal actions with brokers/GA's, and ensure timely and accurate monthly renewals Premium Growth: achieve premium growth through add-coverage opportunities and cross-sell, coordinating with the Sales Executive and brokers/customers on growth opportunities (acquisitions, plan design changes, open enrollments) Assess, clarify, and validate customer needs; create communication plans and relay information to clients and brokers Develop and maintain relationships with SE, MSR and internal service departments to resolve issues Participate in finalist presentations and articulate Equitable's value proposition Partner with Market Sales Executive to align territory goals and develop action plans Collaborate with Implementation Consultant to ensure awareness during implementation Coordinate enrollment and re-enrollment strategies for organic growth Educate brokers/customers through meetings, calls, emails, and virtual sessions; conduct installation meetings to review policies and portals Stay informed on market changes and advise on how Equitable can support evolving needs Conduct regular case reviews with internal teams and customers to address issues and identify opportunities for additional products/services Facilitate renewal preparation and service experience discussions to position customers for renewal Demonstrate active listening and bridge relationships among Brokers, Clients, and Home-Office partners Use Salesforce to document all relevant customer and broker activities Mentor MSRs and Regional Account Managers; assist in onboarding and training Base salary: $105,000 with eligible variable compensation. 3+ years in the Employee Benefit industry and/or knowledge of Group Benefit design; experience in national/key/strategic account management Current insurance license or ability to obtain immediately Superior presentation skills Strong knowledge of Equitable’s product and service offerings Excellent verbal and written communication skills Track record of managing large customer relationships and resolving complex issues Resilient, adaptable, and capable of handling obstacles with poise Results-oriented with strong collaboration and influencing skills Credibility with internal and external partners Self-starter able to work independently and in a team; capable in a mobile environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; adept at project management and multi-tasking Financial acumen with a focus on profitability; understanding of pricing, profitability, and underwriting rules West Coast Based Location Required Preferred Qualifications
