Learn more at https://www.NFP.com. Job Summary The Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The role requires day-to-day client servicing for a defined set of clients and involves substantial verbal, electronic and written communications. The Account Manager will manage renewal and marketing processes and prepare materials for presentations and communications in collaboration with more senior team members. The position involves independent discretion and relationship development with clients and carrier contacts, with proactive, efficient service delivery. The role may also support the Account Management Team as assigned. This is a full-time position, ideally hybrid from our Wilmington, Delaware office. A remote option will be considered for well-experienced Commercial Lines candidates who can work on an EST schedule. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Proactively develop relationships with carrier and client contacts; participate actively in meetings Prepare and send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and summarize results; draft renewal presentations Lead review of proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive; begin direct client and carrier communication with approval Create and maintain client files according to office procedures; maintain client policy records in the agency management system Field initial billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel, with Accounting Dept. assistance when needed Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities
Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to make sound independent decisions with confidence Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and work well in a team or independently Courteous and professional demeanor in challenging situations Customer-focused with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines Ability to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports; strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and effective decision-making and problem resolution Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines and technology Education And/or Experience
Associates degree (or equivalent); BA/BS preferred More than 3 years of client service and/or industry experience Certificates, Licenses, Registration
