Learn About a Day in the Life of a Monitor Technician: Responsibilities
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients; identify various cardiac arrhythmias and detect heart rhythm/rate variations
Interpret cardiac rhythm and document in the patient's medical record according to the departmental standards.
Ensure appropriate and timely response to alarms.
Follow escalation process to ensure optimal patient care
Ensure correct patient identification information on all assigned telemetry monitors
Troubleshoot telemetry problems and assist the nursing staff with the same
Qualifications Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Job Requirements:
Monitor Tech, EKG, Patient care experience
