General Summary
Location: Moross Detroit, Henry Ford St. Johns
Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours - Day Shifts
Performs advanced pharmacy technician duties and participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Henry Ford St. John Hospital is a destination for specialty care including heart, cancer, stroke care, and orthopedics. Our OB‑GYN maternity care teams deliver a personalized birthing experience and advanced neonatal care for sick babies. We offer a range of procedures using robotic‑assisted technology, imaging and lab tests, a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation center, all on one campus.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Acquires clinical data to support Pharmacists. Coordinates special projects.
Responsible for auditing, quality assurance sign off with barcode scanning, controlled substance oversight, and billing including, Long Term Care (LTC) billing and Medicare D claim adjudication.
Serves as a resource for automation technology, training & involvement with IV workflow, carousels, Pyxis, automated dispensing cabinets, troubleshooting, compounding, and robotics.
Provides advanced cross-training for dedicated buyers, staff, operating room satellite, and retail.
May monitor compliance with regulatory standards and be responsible for inventory and drug shortage management and optimization.

Education/Experience Required
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Data analytics, troubleshooting, and experience with Pyxis.
Certifications/Licensures Required
Pharmacy Technician credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
