Description Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach is looking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Leadership:

Assists F&B Manager & Executive Chef in creating and maintaining a positive team atmosphere in the workplace.

Maintains a high level of resident contact throughout service hours.

Provides leadership and direction to the property employees to ensure strict adherence to all applicable standard policies, procedures, and programs.

Possesses strong interpersonal skills and can interact and communicate successfully with residents and team.

Leads staff through all service types (a la carte, buffet, etc.).

Keeps current with industry concepts, practices, and procedures that fully align with the Latitude Margaritaville Brand.

Receives and resolves complaints concerning dining service.

Complies with state and federal regulations regarding safe food handling and sanitation.

Ensures all closing duties are completed correctly, including post‑shift walkthroughs and side‑work.

Assists in creating a strong bar and beverage program reflecting the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle, including daily/weekly specials and promotions.

Demonstrates ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate actions.

Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service among personnel and cleanliness of dining areas.

Assists in monitoring dining labor and supplies budgets; makes adjustments to achieve fiscal goals.

Supervises and trains dining room staff while managing within budgetary restraints and developing programs to increase service.

Exhibits a positive attitude and remains professional under all circumstances.

Association Structure and Financial Management:

Acts as liaison for the dining department with the Lifestyle Manager on planning and executing F&B‑based or community events.

Understands financial goals and operates assets in owners’ best interest per Board policies.

Daily Operations and Customer Experience:

Creates SOPs for operational success and resident satisfaction.

Maintains inventory of all dining room items, including silverware, glassware, flatware, china, salt & pepper holders, sugar bowls, and linens.

Supports Lifestyle with promotions, ideas, and resident‑driven F&B programming.

Builds effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling, and leadership; fosters an "I Love My Job" environment.

Handles all community emergencies following company guidelines to minimize liabilities.

Ensures compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules.

Assists F&B Manager and Executive Chef with hiring and disciplinary actions for dining staff.

Maintains inventory control system for bar operations.

Ensures Point of Sales system functions correctly.

Technical Competencies

Education:

High school graduate.

Higher education preferred; ServSafe and CPR certified.

Experience:

3‑5 years of progressive F&B operations experience.

1‑2 years in a supervisory or management role in a restaurant, club, hotel, or similar setting.

Previous bar operations management experience is a plus.

Private club experience preferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Strong leadership skills; can develop team and implement service standards.

Creatively enthusiastic; must champion the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle.

Willing to work nights and weekends.

Current on dining and beverage trends and styles.

Strong knowledge of beer, wine & spirits – Sommelier, WSET, and/or Cicerone certification highly beneficial.

Hands‑on work with team members (orders, bussing tables, pouring drinks).

Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written).

Organizational skills; attention to detail; problem‑solving; common sense.

Team player, can work independently.

Compensation & Work Schedule

$55,000 - $60,000 annually

Full‑time (40 hours weekly)

Weekend & holiday availability required
