Salary: $85,000–$100,000 (DOE)
About The Role An established law firm is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations across multiple entities. You’ll work directly with the firm’s four partners and Firm Administrator in a fast‑paced yet relaxed legal environment. This position requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in managing complex, multi‑entity accounting—particularly within legal or professional services settings.
What You’ll Do
Manage all accounting functions for multiple entities
Handle Accounts Payable & Receivable
Perform bank reconciliations for multiple operating and trust accounts
Prepare payroll (ADP) and coordinate bi‑weekly processing
Deliver financial reporting (bi‑weekly and quarterly updates for partners)
Maintain trust and client accounts in compliance with multi‑state legal requirements
Track and reconcile three major operating accounts
Collaborate with CPA for audits and tax preparation
Manage records for insurance, benefits, and financial programs
Key Details
Reports to: Firm Partners & Administrator
Team: 5 Attorneys, 7 Support Staff
Culture: Professional yet relaxed – focused but laid‑back
Accounting Volume: Fund movements up to $9M during large case settlements
Tools & Systems
QuickBooks Desktop (required)
Excel (advanced proficiency expected)
Familiarity with banking platforms
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
5+ years of accounting experience – ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
Strong understanding of legal accounting, including contingency and trust fund management
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Work Schedule On‑site (not remote)
Monday–Friday
Standard: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Flexible: 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85K–$100K
