Job Summary This non-exempt Human Resources Generalist will deliver a broad range of HR services supporting the operational and strategic goals of the Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority. Responsibilities include recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, HR policy, and compliance. The role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members, ensuring consistent and effective HR practices across the organization.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $27.85 to $33.92 per hour (DOE)
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Location: Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority, Omak, WA
Closing date: October 31, 2025
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a human resources function.
Valid Washington State driver’s license required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Analytical skills to compare and contrast data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
Professional communication skills in written, verbal, and non‑verbal formats.
Fair, consistent, honest, and unbiased approach.
Initiative and proactivity in meeting deadlines and HR goals.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
Manual and finger dexterity to complete duties.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and push/pull frequently.
Comprehension of complex issues.
Adequate visual acuity for reading and computer usage.
Speech and hearing ability for effective communication.
Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
Additional Information Pre‑employment drug testing is required for safety‑sensitive positions, and reasonable suspicion and post‑accident drug testing apply.
Tribal member and Indian preference will apply; preference will also be given to honorably discharged veterans who are minimally qualified.
If required, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance.
