Job Summary

The Grain and Agronomy Operations Associate will perform duties associated with grain and agronomy within the facility in accordance with safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities

Promote an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the mission and core values of Nexus. Model behaviors that support Nexus mission and core values to be a trusted advisor to our customers and members. Grain handling includes but is not limited to filling, reclaiming and transferring of grain. Maintain an accurate running inventory. Climb leg and bins for maintenance and inventory. Restock supplies and inventory; place orders as needed. Enter purchase order data in the inventory control system. Accept, verify, inspect, and record all deliveries according to policy. Record, report, and return defective items. Process invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area. Handle complaints related to shipments; notify supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues. Comply with government regulations and company safety policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. One year grain and agronomy experience preferred but not required. Proficient with inventory control systems. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent time management skills. Physical Requirements

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Prolonged periods of standing. Climb steps and ladders to get to the top of grain bins and down into pits. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
