Sociology: Part Time Faculty – AY 25-26
Position at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC). The role is part‑time, temporary, semester‑based, reporting to the Department Chair of the School of Liberal Arts. Positions may be taught in fall, spring, and/or summer, in face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended formats.
Responsibilities
Develop course curricula—including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments—in accordance with upper‑division program requirements.
Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
Evaluate students to measure progress toward institutional and course goals.
Submit required instruction paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
1‑year college‑level teaching experience.
Professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service.
Innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring skills.
