Addictions Counselor 2 (Creedmoor ATC) (NY HELPS)

Pay Range:
$66,951.00/yr - $85,138.00/yr
Responsibilities
Supervise a case management team providing addiction services and supports.
Create and maintain clinical records in compliance with OASAS and regulatory requirements.
Provide full range of clinical and administrative supervision to subordinate staff; may act as shift supervisor.
Participate in clinical leadership and in committees or work groups as assigned.
Assist clients with obtaining insurance preauthorization and file appeals.
Provide direct clinical services to clients, facilitating individual and group therapy, educational presentations, and other therapeutic tasks.
Perform assessment, treatment planning, case management, and clinical services with a marked degree of independence.
Oversee specialized service components specific to the ATC, including co-occurring disorders, gambling, LGBTQIA, and/or culturally specific services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate all facets of client care.
Communicate shift change information and serve as building supervisor in absence of assigned ATC leadership.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned, including transporting clients using agency vehicles.
Maintain relationships with vocational, educational, social services, probation, parole, referral agencies, and other community agencies for continuity of services.
Qualifications
Current employment as an Addictions Counselor 2 OR current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Advanced Counselor (CASAC-Advanced) or Master Counselor (CASAC-Master) in NYS.
One‑year post‑CASAC professional counseling experience OR eligibility for transfer.
Eligibility and maintenance of full and unconditional participation in Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State.
Availability for mandatory overtime and 24/7/365 program operation.
