Territory Manager – Heritage Distribution Holdings
We are looking for entrepreneurial and self‑starting sales professionals who will manage sales activities that include identifying new customers and leveraging sales and marketing opportunities within our current customer base. You will be responsible for presenting to current dealers and contractors and identifying new dealers and contractors who are interested in selling our products. The territory offers an existing base of business with an opportunity for growth. As an energetic and positive go‑getter, you also treat people fairly, keep things simple, remain flexible and nimble, and sell the features and benefits of both equipment and sales programs to HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical dealers.
Responsibilities
Acquire new business accounts in the HVAC, Plumbing and Mechanical markets, while expanding into other productive market segments.
Increase the sales results and market share of our lead product lines.
Gain an excellent understanding of the marketing programs that support the lead products and the dealer base that support and sell them.
Cultivate existing accounts and increase their annual revenue and margin results for the company.
Become skilled at the vast product lineup that the company offers and seize the opportunity to become a technical expert for that product line.
Identify the proper accounts to maximize a value‑added sales effort.
Travel in a local territory.
Qualifications and Experience
3+ years of relevant sales experience (outside experience preferred)
Experience selling in distribution and wholesale channels
Experience in HVAC sales or related field
Mechanical aptitude preferred
Ability to develop strong business relationships, externally and internally
Strong desire to meet goals and objectives
HVAC and mechanical contracting business or similar industry a plus
Strong verbal communication skills with excellent listening skills
Ability to work with a diverse customer base
Winning attitude and ability to “ask for the order”
Basic computer skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
Self‑starting with a positive attitude
Sense of urgency with deadline and goal orientation
Enthusiastic to be a “hands on” team member
