Job overview and responsibilities

The Manager – NOC Bridge Communications serves as the “Voice of the NOC” for internal and external stakeholders, leading a 24/7 team responsible for real-time, high-impact communication across the airline. Provides timely updates to customers, frontline teams, media, public relations stakeholders, and internal departments during both normal and irregular operations.

The Manager – NOC Bridge Communications will serve as the arm for day-to-day monitoring and moderating of both internal and external communication. The position coaches and develops a team to achieve all performance goals, including quality, tone of voice, response times and productivity. Monitor, coordinate and communicate operational activity and decisions.

Monitor, coordinate and communicate operational activity and decisions for both internal employees and customer communication. Events can range from broad system impact to individual flight events.

Provide leadership and guidance to the team that monitors flights in real-time for delays, cancelations, operational impacts, ad-hoc requests, technology initiatives, and prepare immediate or proactive messaging as needed.

Support 24/7 operation with flexible working hours that may include nights, weekends, and event-based on-call support.

Join both scheduled and unscheduled operational planning calls to recap and communicate plans to the broad relevant operational groups.

Establish communication protocols for various operational events to ensure standardization in content, structure and timing.

Provide administrative support for the team for schedules, vacations, and other duties assigned.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree or related experience Bachelor's Degree in communications, aviation management, or similar experience

3+ years of communication, professional or creative writing experience

Strong knowledge and understanding of the airline industry

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize and adapt to a high-stress, complex and changing operational environment

Ability to work with all levels of a highly dynamic organization

Critical thinker and problem solver

Innovative mindset

Detail oriented

Ability to interact professionally

Must be able to work all shifts, nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
