Primary Role
With minimal supervision, the HR Data Analyst investigates, develops, and delivers HR reports and analytics. The analyst leverages strong HR system knowledge and data structures to identify opportunities for efficiency and data quality improvements. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, overseeing development, testing, and deployment of reporting tools, and applying statistical methods and modern data tools to uncover insights. Insights support leaders, managers, and program stakeholders in making data‑driven workforce decisions.
Key Accountabilities
Manage HR data operations, conduct end‑to‑end analysis, and identify process improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements, interpret findings using statistical methods, and present actionable insights through reports and visualizations.
Enhance data usability and explore automation to streamline reporting and analytics workflows.
Design and maintain scalable, repeatable procedures for generating and managing HR data to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Leverage deep knowledge of HR and business processes to create insightful reports and dashboards that empower stakeholders.
Perform system administration tasks, including report/dashboard management, user access control, configuration updates, and data stewardship.
Lead ongoing data integrity audits, resolve data quality issues, and manage data cleansing initiatives.
Provide HR data expertise throughout vendor solution deployments.
Evaluate incoming data/reporting requests, assess feasibility, and communicate status updates.
Analyze implications of data‑related change requests and ensure alignment with business needs.
Investigate data anomalies and system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Serve as a key internal resource on HR data capabilities, system functionality, and best practices.
Review new reporting requests against existing assets to promote reuse and avoid duplication.
Act as the primary point of contact for all HR reporting needs.
Stay aligned with evolving HR systems and processes, proactively adjusting data models.
Contribute to change management efforts by communicating updates and creating documentation.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of trends in HR data administration and analytics.
Foster strong working relationships to support collaborative data initiatives.
Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and expanding expertise.
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Experience / Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
8 years of combined experience in HR and analytics required (3–5+ years of HR experience, 2+ years of data analysis for reports and insights).
Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, configure, implement, and support HR data, processes, and technology.
Experience on multiple concurrent projects with enterprise‑wide impact.
Practiced collaborating with teams to coordinate data reporting and analytics improvements.
Certifications / Licenses
