Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining our mobile equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance!

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role focuses on keeping our mobile equipment ready for action, performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs as necessary. You will notify your supervisor of any equipment conditions that could affect production, and prepare daily and weekly operating reports.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Conduct tests on mechanical products to confirm performance aligns with manufacturer specifications.
• Repair or replace worn or damaged parts to maintain equipment integrity.
• Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery using tools and hoists.
• Cleans and lubricates equipment and vehicles while performing routine maintenance.
• Examine parts for excessive wear and damage using precision measuring instruments.
• Schedule maintenance and maintain service records for all machinery.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
• Analyze data to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Stay informed about new technologies through training and professional development.
• Comply with safety protocols including confined space entry, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Be available to work various shifts as needed.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years servicing relevant heavy industrial equipment
• Travel Requirements: Local travel

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must follow all safety protocols and use Amrize approved PPE, including respirators. Clean shaven is required for those who need to wear respirators to pass fit tests.
